Subject [jira] [Commented] (MESOS-39) JNI bindings shouldn't segfault when passed invalid parameters
Date Tue, 21 Feb 2012 05:07:34 GMT

Andy Konwinski commented on MESOS-39:

So, is the problem that you can't get the example and tests to run without making any changes
to the source (i.e. on a clean SVN checkout), or is it that you can't get them to build once
you've made changes to org_apache_mesos_MesosSchedulerDriver.cpp?

Have you followed the new instructions on the wiki for building and running the tests (i.e.
at under "Running Example Frameworks and Testing the Build")

Hopefully you just haven't seen that wiki page since we updated it a couple of weeks ago (this
all changed recently with the big move to autotools build system) and this will solve your
problem (that page states the following in that section: "Currently, in order to run the example
frameworks (in src/examples), you must first build the test suite, as instructed below.").

to segfault. It would be much nicer if you threw an IllegalArgumentException with a helpful
