Subject [jira] [Created] (MESOS-150) Support for slurm resource manager as a framework
Date Wed, 08 Feb 2012 18:13:00 GMT
Support for slurm resource manager as a framework

                 Key: MESOS-150
             Project: Mesos
          Issue Type: New Feature
         Environment: linux-only
            Reporter: Jon Bringhurst
            Priority: Minor

Slurm is a GPLv2 resource manager which has many features similar to the Torque resource manager.
It's used on many of the top500 supercomputers.

See for the source code to slurm.

Supporting slurm could be done through a method similar to the python scripts used for Torque.
A proof-of-concept-quality version of slurm support is currently in development.

Slurm's support of cgroups may be a point of concern since it may conflict with Mesos' lxc
