Hello Michael,

just guessing:

- sometimes spaces in the path may lead to problems.
- sometimes Windows encounters a problem when a path is too long.

Could you try setting setting localRepository  as outlined in
http://maven.apache.org/settings.html to c:/tmp/m2.
