Subject Re: maven multi parent?

Hi,

What you are describing here is not really multi-parent.

Model / Common Util / Data connect / Business can all have a common
parent if you want to control dependency versions in one place, but not
mandatory.

Site A / Site B / Site C just have to depend on your artifact (model,
common util, etc.) as needed. They also can have a common parent as they
are all sites and may have things in common.

If all sites are pretty similar (I'm talking .war files tomcat/jetty
projects), you can have a project where you assemble Site (site-common)
and have Site A, Site B, Site C use the maven war plugin to do overlays
for Site specific stuff (
http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-war-plugin/overlays.html)
