I just  tried using (in NetBeans) the following JDK's for my project:
JDK1.6 (64 bit)
JDK7 update 7 (32 bit)
JDK7 update 5 (64 bit)
JDK6 update 23 (64 bit)

None of them worked. Same error.
What is strange is that things work correctly in Windows XP 32 bit virtual machine.

well, you've changed everything else but the JDK. that's where the thought is coming from.

And it has to be something with your setup, as it's working fine for the majority of users
out there. So yes, it could be a netbeans issue, but most likely it's not netbeans alone,
but a combination of factors.
