Subject using jar files not in repository and without a version number
Date Tue, 15 Nov 2005 19:46:22 GMT
Hello All ,

I have a project that uses informix jdbc driver , Now the driver
as provided by IBM is named ifxjdbc.jar

Now looking in the maven2 repository i can not find this jar and that
is acceptable .

So i got the jar file and executed the following

mvn install:install-file -Dfile=/Users/greg/.maven/repository/
informix/jars/ifxjdbc.jar -DgroupId=informix -DartifactId=ifxjdbc -
Dversion= -Dpackaging=jar

Now i kept the version emply and that is going to be a problem in
the pom.xml so is there a work around for this or should i just put a
version number. If
i do that my jar file will be named something like ifxjdbc-2.0.jar
Would that be a problem using it.

Thank you
