I found this at:

Some cvs clients support other protocols, such as
ntserver and extssh. Here's an example using CVS NT
and ntserver: 

scm|cvs|ntserver|user@server|e:\cvs|Deployment
Note the use of the vertical bar as delimiter as the
repository has a colon (:) in it.

Before that I tried with pserver, but I get the same mistake.
