IS this a real example? <test:test/> doesn't exist. You must mean
<attainGoal name="test:test" />

If you run just "java:compile" on its own does it work?

When you say that you deleted the plugin cache, did you remove the entire
~/.maven/plugins directory or just the .cache files?
