I think I have installed it properly now. I have another question and would appreciate some advice. I have some projects that use some basic jars that are places in my repository locations. Till now we've been just checking out those jars from repositories manually for each project and trying to assemble the projects. I was wondering if I can use maven to specify what jars/components are required for a project and also specify the repository locations and then use maven to download those jars automatically into a project folder. Am I looking in the right direction when I'm considering maven for such stuff. And is the user guide that comes with the installation, the best place to start or are there any other resources to learn maven. Thanks a lot Vikas -----Original Message----- From: Brett Porter [mailto:bporter@f2network.com.au] Sent: Tuesday, October 14, 2003 5:02 PM To: 'Maven Users List' Subject: RE: Maven installation The latest download is Maven 1.0 RC1. We need to change that doc to remove the beta-8 version which is misleading.
