Brian Brooks created MRELEASE-947:

Summary: wiki page url for maven-release-plugin is wrong - post codehaus termination
                 Key: MRELEASE-947
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MRELEASE-947
             Project: Maven Release Plugin
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: documentation
            Reporter: Brian Brooks
            Priority: Minor

On the page https://maven.apache.org/maven-release/maven-release-plugin/

This link is invalid

http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAVENUSER/Release+Plugin

It's referenced by this text

"Usage
General instructions on how to use the Release Plugin can be found on the usage page. Some
more specific use cases are described in the examples given below. Last but not least, users
occasionally contribute additional examples, tips or errata to the plugin's wiki page."

The March 2015 thread between Herve Boutemy and Martin Gainty on the maven-dev mailing list
seems to document the problem and provide the base URL for a new URL...
