Robert Scholte commented on MENFORCER-78:
-----------------------------------------

Another solution is: add {{-V}} (capital Victor) to the Maven command. This way the output
will start with the version info and will continue with the rest of the phases/goals

> Project: Maven 2.x Enforcer Plugin
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Affects Versions: 1.0-beta-1
> Environment: Maven 2.1.0

> I would like to have as much info in enforcer:display-info as you get when you type mvn
--version.
> What I get with mvn --version :
> $ mvn --version
> Apache Maven 2.1.0 (r755702; 2009-03-18 20:10:27+0100)
> Java version: 1.6.0_05
> Java home: c:\java\j2ses\jdk1.6.0_05\jre
> Default locale: fr_FR, platform encoding: Cp1252
> OS name: "windows xp" version: "5.1" arch: "x86" Family: "windows"
> What I get with mvn enforcer:display-info :
> [INFO] [enforcer:display-info]
> [INFO] Maven Version: 2.1.0
> [INFO] JDK Version: 1.6.0_05 normalized as: 1.6.0-5
> [INFO] OS Info: Arch: x86 Family: windows Name: windows xp Version: 5.1
> I use enforcer:display-info attached to "validate" phase. I wished to have "platform
information" (especially jre, locale and encoding) inside logs of my CI builds and on developers
computers.
> I know that in theory I should never have to rely on platform encoding or platform locale,
but I can't control all projects that go throught the CI platform, and having such information
often help debug why "hey it works on my station !".
