Subject [jira] Closed: (MJAR-115) Provide Access to Undocumented Jarsigner -J Option for Increasing Heap
Date Sun, 09 Aug 2009 11:31:59 GMT

Benjamin Bentmann closed MJAR-115.

      Assignee: Benjamin Bentmann
    Resolution: Won't Fix

The jarsigner related goals in this plugin will be deprecated, please use the dedicated [maven-jarsigner-plugin|]
which already provides both a dedicated parameter to easily set the heap size and to pass
arbitrary arguments to the jarsigner tool.

> I am signing very large JARs. I don't have the option (legally) of splitting the JAR
into smaller pieces. One of them specifically is wl_fullclient.jar, the 64MB WebLogic JEE
client JAR.
> I have found an undocumented option "-J-Xmx" to jarsigner that has accomplished what
I need on Windows and Mac. It is used in the Ant equivalent jar signing task.
> The Ant Source can be viewed here on line 286
