Remember the community version is open source (
https://github.com/JetBrains/intellij-community ) including the Maven
integration code.

Furthermore bear in mind Apache committers have access to donated licenses
( https://svn.apache.org/repos/private/committers/donated-licenses/ )
including:
* jetbrains products ( see direct link here:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/private/committers/donated-licenses/intellij.txt
)
* mdsn kit
* yourkit
* etc.
