Subject [jira] Commented: (MASSEMBLY-18) Assembly plugin does'nt use classifier for dependencies

Dan Tran commented on MASSEMBLY-18:

after looking further into the code, filename mapping strips off the classifier when adding
file to the archive.
so if you have 2 dependencies with the same groupid, artifactid, version. One with a classicifier
Only one of those artifacts will be added to the final archive.

> I'm trying to get the assembly plugin to package down some dependent jars I have. One
of the jars are resolved with use of classifier (like this):
> <dependency>
> <groupId></groupId>
> <artifactId>base</artifactId>
> <version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
> <classifier>bundle</classifier>
> </dependency>
> In the assembly however I end up with the jar-file without classifier. Is this a bug
or is there something I have overlooked?
> I saw a similar request at, but I was unable to
find an actual jira for it.
