Subject [jira] Commented: (MPDASHBOARD-21) Excessive Memory Consumption

Florian Nierhaus commented on MPDASHBOARD-21:

The reason I opened it against Dashboard was that this is where it becomes most obvious.

I run it without running the report goals, just the collection and summary report after everything
has been built and the multiproject site goals have been run. (I had to change the multiproject
though to create a new maven process for each site goal as otherwise memory would explode
as well.

I didn't analyse Dashboard and don't know how it works, but from the memory consumption it
seems that it just sucks all the xml docs into memory...

So I am not sure is it the memory leak in jelly in general or is there a Dashboard issue?

set MAVEN_OPTS=-Xmx1024M to get my build through (but I still need to add more projects).
> I really love maven, but the memory consumption is a big issue. I looked at commons-jelly
and it seems they have fixed a quite big memory leak, and it works fine for the updated xdoc
plugin, but maven itself still seems to leak.
