The following comment has been added to this issue:

     Author: Piotr Maj

       Body:
I use fresh CVS version of Maven and I think there is still something wrong with checkstyle
plugin.

I've got two classes under src/java:
   1) SchemaException extends Exception
   2) GeneratorException extends Exception

Checkstyle reports:

Redundant throws: 'SchemaException' is subclass of 'GeneratorException'.
Unable to get class information for SchemaException.
Unable to get class information for GeneratorException.

More reports: http://dbmonster.kernelpanic.pl/checkstyle-report.html

Can anybody check whether it is checkstyle problem or just some missing setting?

        Key: MAVEN-664
Summary: [checkstyle plugin]: Unable to get class information for <classname>
       Type: Bug

     Status: Closed
   Priority: Major
 Resolution: FIXED

 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: maven
 Components:
             plugin-other
   Versions:

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Tim Anderson

    Created: Fri, 8 Aug 2003 11:11 PM
    Updated: Sun, 10 Aug 2003 8:36 PM

Description:
The checkstyle plugin reports errors of the form
'Unable to get class information for <classname>'
for externally defined exceptions declared in throws clauses.
This is because it doesn't reference maven.dependency.classpath.

Patch to follow.
