Subject [jira] [Commented] (CONNECTORS-1408) Request-URI Too Long
Date Thu, 13 Apr 2017 18:55:41 GMT

Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-1408:

Hi [~cguzel], am I correct in guessing you are *not* using the extract handler?

The UpdateRequest class has the following default HTTP method:

  public More ...UpdateRequest() {
     super(METHOD.POST, "/update");
  public More ...UpdateRequest(String url) {
    super(METHOD.POST, url);

So, POST is the default for update requests. Under the covers, even when you submit a SolrInputDocument
to the SolrClient (which is what you get when you aren't using the Solr Cell endpoint), I
still can't see any place that it changes this to PUT. So I see no way this can happen?

Perhaps the request is actually using POST and there's some configuration on the Solr side
to limit the size?

> There is "pstr" field appended to the URL. "pstr" field have all Solr params. It contains
email content. We have "URI is too large" error when email has large content.
