[~schuchm]: Another comment: I note that you are using a full URL in this connector, including
the protocol spec.  However, handling of https requires some care in a connector environment,
because certificate handling needs to be done per connection and not by means of the global
java keystore.  If Slack is typically accessed by means of https this part of the implementation
may need to be thought through more.
