Subject [jira] [Commented] (CONNECTORS-1272) ManifoldCF error when creating ElasticSearch output connector

Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-1272:
-----------------------------------------

Thanks -- unfortunately, the code is set up to require a non-null action (which is in fact
the string equivalent of a java enum value!). So it's not really possible to just hit the
URL in this connector's framework without some extra kung-fu. I changed it to "_stats".

> When creating an ElasticSearch output connection, the connection status says:
> {code}
> ERROR "root_cause":["type":"illegal_argument_exception"
> {code}
> Lookign at elasticsearch logs I see the following error:
> {code}
> /_status Params: {index=_status}
> java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No feature for name [_status]
> {code}
> A google search for "No feature for name [_status]" led me to ES documentation (https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/2.0/indices-status.html)
that states:
> The index _status API has been replaced with the Indices Stats and Indices Recovery APIs.
> Looks like Elastic connector for ManiFoldCF is out of date and needs fixing.
> NOTE: the connector still works in terms of pushing data to Elastic, despite the error.

> I have created a StackOverflow question/answer http://stackoverflow.com/questions/35281379/manifoldcf-error-when-creating-elasticsearch-output-connector
- if possible please update once it's fixed.
