I could see no difference between what was specified and what was output.  Now you say:

I got "hello/o/u/t/t/h/e/r/e/" as result.

That is very different than what you said before.  The change I added had to do with the trailing
"/" character, which could bind either to the attribute value or to the ">" character;
it seemed you wanted it to bind to the attribute value.  Now I don't understand what you are
even looking for.

Can you (1) clarify what your tag looks like, and (2) what you are seeing?  And, can you confirm
that you applied BOTH patches, the first one and then the second?
