I hadn't got around to looking further into this, so thanks for following it up on my behalf.

You're quite right, I *was* using the "/update" handler (see configuration), but I hadn't
linked the configuration change with this problem because I had made the bigger step of moving
onto the trunk build of MCF (v2.3) at the same time.

So the symptoms fit.  I'll see if I can build and test this over the next few days.
