Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-1173:
-----------------------------------------

Hi [~kishorekumar],

I completely agree that the choice of document view URL should be selectable. So that work
is not in question. I was curious about the details, is all.

For the node ID, it's somewhat more complicated. ManifoldCF promises developers that the
URL it uses for documents can be used to access the document, regardless of what repository
it came from. It's therefore better to give the user control over the form of that URL in
the ManifoldCF repository connection definition, than allow them to build their own downstream
in the search engine. If there are other uses for the node ID, that's fine, but I'd think
hard about what really makes sense here. We don't want to wrongly encourage people to produce
custom code in the back end that would only work with Livelink.

> Project: ManifoldCF
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: LiveLink connector
> Affects Versions: ManifoldCF 2.1
> Reporter: Kishore Kumar
> Priority: Minor
>
> Current Livelink connector doesn't send the unique Livelink Object ID to Output Connector
and there is no option to change the View URL in Document View tab, currently it's set to
use download url.
> This ticket will try to address the above points.
