Shinichiro Abe commented on CONNECTORS-1066:
--------------------------------------------

Metadata Adjuster transformer is ok.
I just worry about back compat.

For example:

The stringValue returns "" if property value has ""(blank).
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/manifoldcf/trunk/connectors/cmis/connector/src/main/java/org/apache/manifoldcf/crawler/connectors/cmis/CmisRepositoryConnector.java?view=markup#l1192

The mapExtensionToMimeType returns null if unknown extension is found.
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/manifoldcf/trunk/connectors/filesystem/connector/src/main/java/org/apache/manifoldcf/crawler/connectors/filesystem/FileConnector.java?view=markup#l350

The metadata returns "" if a column has "", and null if a column has null(Probably).
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/manifoldcf/trunk/connectors/jdbc/connector/src/main/java/org/apache/manifoldcf/crawler/connectors/jdbc/JDBCConnector.java?view=markup#l1504
Can you ignore ""(blank) column in database table? Doesn't it need searchable by separating
from null?

Thanks.
