Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-120:
----------------------------------------

On second thought, the piecemeal cookie handling we currently have could be improved dramatically,
since creating BasicClientCookie and BasicClientCookie2 with a straight string value is now
possible. Both of these have a getName() method and a getValue() method returning the entire
value. The issue is of course that the schema will need to change for the cookie management
table. The value has a max limit of 4KB, which may nevertheless be best modeled as an unlimited
field for the databases we use.

> Now that commons-httpclient has accepted our NTLM patch, we can upgrade our connectors
to use their newest 4.x httpclient code. We still need to submit or apply patches for other
features first, so this ticket depends on the resolution of that action, covered in CONNECTORS-119.
