Indeed I did build them from trunk.

Running that command, it does show DenseVector.class in the jar.

I wonder if I perhaps entered the javac command incorrectly?
It looks like this:

javac -cp /usr/local/hadoop/hadoop-core-0.20.203.0.jar:/usr/local/mahout/math/target/mahout-math-0.6.SNAPSHOT.jar
-d makevector_classes/ MakeVector.java

DenseVector should be in mahout-math jar.
Did you build your jars from trunk?

What do you see when you run this?

jar tvf mahout-math-0.6-SNAPSHOT.jar |  grep DenseVector.class

I am trying to figure out which mahout jar file to include in the classpath if I want to use
a DenseVector.

I tried mahout-math-0.6-SNAPSHOT.jar and mahout-core-0.6-SNAPSHOT.jar

Both times, javac tells me that the DenseVector symbol cannot be found.
