I just surveyed the CPAN testers reports for 0.3.0, all versions of Perl. By
my count, there are 73 failures so far.

66 of them only fail that Pod checker test. Logan has fixed that bug on both
trunk and 0.3, but we have not yet implemented David's suggestion to add the
test file to MANIFEST.SKIP so that we avoid shipping the test.

This tester failed pod checker, but also the overflow in token position:

I'll bet that has been addressed by the backport of the fix suggested by the
LLVM folks.

This tester failed pod checker, but also SortSpec for Int64.

Nick was working on Int64's comparison function recently, and perhaps he can
suggest a minimally invasive backport. FWIW, we don't yet expose the
functionality that's causing the failure, though.

Then there are three random Charmonizer failures on Windows: two for
Strawberry Perl, one Cygwin:

They happen at different absolute spots in Charmonizer, but I speculate that
they are all failed file system operations. Maybe due to a busy system? In
any case, I'm don't expect to fix these for 0.3.1.

This tester got an undefined symbol Perl_to_utf8_lower:

Thats this: <>. I'm not planning
to do any more work on this issue. It's fixed in trunk because we changed
CaseFolder to subclass Normalizer and eliminated the implementation using
Perl's case folding.
