I overstated "working" -- it's just the source code for a $work project,
not a live demo.

The ecosystem is there though:

 [0] normalizers pull db records and convert to XML
 [1] indexer crawls the file tree, building the index from XML
 [2] searcher with automatic refresh

[0]
http://code.google.com/p/publicinsight/source/browse/OpenAIR/trunk/bin/sources2xml.pl

[1]
http://code.google.com/p/publicinsight/source/browse/OpenAIR/trunk/bin/indexer

[2]
http://code.google.com/p/publicinsight/source/browse/OpenAIR/trunk/bin/search.cgi
http://code.google.com/p/publicinsight/source/browse/OpenAIR/trunk/lib/perl/AIR2/SearchServer.pm

The underlying Perl libs are all on CPAN:

 * Search::OpenSearch
 * Search::OpenSearch::Engine::KSx

and all the SWISH::Prog stuff.
