Subject Index format: SkipData newbie question
Date Mon, 18 Aug 2014 06:32:58 GMT
Hi,

Sorry to trouble you guys about my newbie question.

I am having trouble understanding why in the Terms Frequency file (.frq)
(Based on the Java Lucene 3.5.0 which should be somewhat similar to
Lucene.NET)

SkipData -->
<<SkipLevelLength, SkipLevel>^(NumSkipLevels-1), SkipLevel><SkipDatum>

I read this
http://hackerlabs.org/blog/2011/10/01/hacking-lucene-the-index-format/
and it looks more to me to be like this

SkipData -->
<SkipLevelLength, <SkipLevel>^(NumSkipLevels-1)>

where
SkipLevel --> <SkipDatum>^(DocFreq/SkipInterval^(Level+1))

Appreciate any help here

Best regards,
Steven
