Sure.  This is running under CentOS 5.6, with epel, rpmforge, and 
jpackage repositories added.

[root@idxst0-b ~]# java -version
java version "1.6.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_25-b06)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0-b11, mixed mode)

I used java-1.6.0-sun-1.6.0.25-1.0.cf.nosrc.rpm to make the java RPMs, 
as explained here.  Looks like I can go to 1.6.0.26 now:
