Subject [jira] Commented: (SOLR-1583) Create DataSources that return InputStream
Date Sun, 03 Jan 2010 02:25:58 GMT

Lance Norskog commented on SOLR-1583:
-------------------------------------

How is this used in the DIH config file? Do I have to use BinURLDataSource instead of URLDataSource
when I use the Tika processor? If so, this is going to be more confusing to the user: it
will be one more thing to get wrong.

Those of us who did not write the DIH often find it confusing :)

> Tika integration means the source has to be binary that is the DataSource must be of
type DataSource<InputStream> . All the DataSource<Reader> should have a binary
counterpart.
> * BinURLDataSource<InputStream>
> * BinContentStreamDataSource<InputStream>
> * BinFileDataOurce<InputStream>
