Chris A. Mattmann commented on SOLR-1602:
-----------------------------------------

Hi Noble,

I'm not sure anything has been blown out of proportions -- this is a discussion related to
an issue and a great example of the open source world and communication. As far as my opinion
differing, I'm fine with accepting it differs from yours, Erik's and Hoss's, but that it doesn't
seem to from Ryan's.

In terms of copying files between releases, how much more arduous would it be to do a copy
_and_ execute a upgrade_solr_cofig 1 line bash script I could attach to this issue to upgrade
the SOLR config file?

Cheers,
Chris

> Currently all o.a.solr.request.QueryResponseWriter implementations are curiously located
in the o.a.solr.request package. Not only is this package getting big (30+ classes), a lot
of them are misplaced. There should be a first-class o.a.solr.response package, and the response
related classes should be given a home there. Patch forthcoming.
