Am answering your 2nd query. Yes, it is possible to auto-suggest separately for separate fields.
Create separate NamedList configurations in the solrconfig.xml file specifying the fieldname(s)
for each configuration. Now, words from the solr index will be extracted only from the specified
fieldname(s) for each configuration and also separate search trees will be created for each
configuration.
