As Yonik mentioned, we should use a SolrQueryParser with the XML QParser. Currently, queries
on numeric fields (both legacy and trie) and date fields do not work. The current patch just
enables one to use the Lucene XML QParser with Solr. It is not integrated with Solr as well
as other qparsers are.
