You are right, but normally a new Term(field,null) should be not allowed. The init method
should normally prevent this, but only checks for the terms ==null. The RangeTermEnum is then
positioned on the null term (should be "").

I will change this back (also in FieldCacheRangeFilter) and fix the wrong logic of RangeQuery
to clearly support it.
