OK that makes sense, thanks.

Lucene's grouping module can't do this today, I believe, but there are
some discussions here:

    https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-2526

about how one might go about doing so.  Basically you'd need to make a
tuple value of (published_year, language, genre) and have that be your
group key.
