You can increase the limit from 32 to just about anything you want via the 
system property org.apache.lucene.maxClauseCount.  You can use code like this:

System.setProperty"org.apache.lucene.maxClauseCount", "1000000");

Or, you can set a value on the JVM's command line with -D.
