David Smiley commented on SOLR-13990:
-------------------------------------

Lets also remove SolrJ's explicit dependency on Woodstox: SOLR-2852 Might that ideally be
a prerequesite? I don't think we want to change it on SolrJ end only to then remove it.

TODO close SOLR-10702 which seems to be the only remaining issue pertaining to Woodstox and
thus is obsolete.

> Switched out woodstox-core-asl with aalto-xml and upgrade woodstax stax-2 API.
> About aalto-xml:
> Aalto XML processor is an ultra-high performance next generation Stax XML processor implementation,
implementing both basic Stax API ({{javax.xml.stream}}) and Stax2 API extension ({{org.codehaus.woodstox.stax2}}).
In addition, it also implements SAX2 API.
