Subject [jira] [Updated] (LUCENE-8125) emoji sequence support in ICUTokenizer
Date Tue, 09 Jan 2018 00:11:00 GMT

Robert Muir updated LUCENE-8125:
--------------------------------
    Attachment: LUCENE-8125.patch

I updated the patch with support for presentation selectors (http://unicode.org/emoji/charts/emoji-variants.html).

Nothing fancy, if we want to hyper-optimize this stuff, jflex is a better place: all of these
cases are spelled out in unicode data files.

> uax29 word break rules already know how to handle these correctly, we just need to assign
them a token type.
> This is better than users trying to do this with custom rules (e.g. LUCENE-7916) because
they are script-independent (common/inherited).
