Jan Høydahl closed SOLR-2050.
-----------------------------
    Resolution: Incomplete

Closing ancient issue which most probably has been fixed since 2010. If anyone encounters
a real bug in this area in a recent version of Solr, feel free to open a new JIRA.

> I have table in Oracle database:
> table (
> id INTEGER,
> message CLOB
> )
> Data source xml file (data-config.xml):
> dataConfig/document:
> <entity name="esdk_msg" transformer="ClobTransformer" ...
> <field column="ID" name="id" />
> <field column="MSG" name="msg" clob="true"/>
> works fine, but (MSG vs. msg as column name):
> <entity name="esdk_msg" transformer="ClobTransformer" ...
> <field column="ID" name="id" />
> <field column="msg" name="msg" clob="true"/>
> ends with error:
> org.apache.solr.common.SolrException: Document [106249] missing required field: msg

> at org.apache.solr.handler.dataimport.DataImporter$1.run(DataImporter.java:370)
> 2010-08-16 19:39:33 org.apache.solr.handler.dataimport.DocBuilder finish
> On other database (Informix) both versions of data-config.xml works fine.
