I think any dependencies should be checked? I don't think we should hide ones only used
for test-framework or whatever (its still a maven artifact published out there, unless that
is intended to change).

'ant clean' doesnt remove anything maven-related: there is a maven-related clean task (clean-maven-build)

that does that, I think its documented in the README.maven
