Subject [jira] [Commented] (LUCENE-4385) IntelliJ build output locations should not be the same as Ant's
Date Thu, 13 Sep 2012 20:47:07 GMT

Steven Rowe commented on LUCENE-4385:

bq. idea-build from the top-level? i'm just looking at the svn-ignored patterns we have already.

bq. we could try to clean it up some too: I don't think anything should use build/ from top-level
(a relic?)

I think at one point some Maven stuff used top-level build, but not anymore, so yeah, likely
a relic.

bq. and its probably possible to fix eclipse to use eclipse-build or something rather than
bin/ so we know better what is going on.

+1, but I don't use Eclipse, so somebody else will have to take care of this one

> The Eclipse and Maven builds don't share their output directories with Ant. The IntelliJ
build should follow suit and put its build output in directories dedicated to that purpose
and no other.
