Subject [jira] [Resolved] (LUCENE-4421) TermsFilter should use TermsEnum.seekExact not seekCeil
Date Tue, 25 Sep 2012 04:45:07 GMT

David Smiley resolved LUCENE-4421.
----------------------------------

       Resolution: Fixed
    Fix Version/s: 4.1

Here's the one-liner change:
if (termsEnum.seekExact(br,true)) {

I figured useCache=true -- it's not documented on what cache is used but it seems most callers
pass true. Maybe someone other than me who can document it will eventually do so.

Committed to trunk & 4x.

> TermsFilter line 82 is:
>        if (termsEnum.seekCeil(br) == TermsEnum.SeekStatus.FOUND) {
> I expected use of seekExact(...) since the Filter shouldn't need to
> potentially advance to the one after.
