Yeah some of this might be false fails. i just wanted to get it up here as a prototype.

I think its a good check we could add to e.g. our nightly jenkins runs once we get it sorted
out to prevent problems.

Its true running the tests with maven is good: but this would fail in a more obvious way (e.g.
the tika situation),
and wouldn't rely upon having tests that ensure all dependencies are correct (I know we don't
have this today!)
