Subject [jira] [Updated] (SOLR-3806) solrcloud node addresses
Date Thu, 13 Sep 2012 23:14:07 GMT

Hoss Man updated SOLR-3806:
---------------------------

    Fix Version/s: (was: 4.0)

Removing fixVersion=4.0 as this does not seem like a significant enough issue to warrant impeeding
momentum towards the (hopefully) rapidly approaching release.

Side Comment: i have to wonder if perhaps the change in behavior was because of cahnges in
the hostname reported to java by OS-X and not any actual code cahnges in Solr? if you try
an older 4.0-ALPHA build what hostnames do you see?

> On my mac (OS-X Lion), addresses such as http://rogue:8983/solr do not work outside of
Java. This means that when the cloud UI displays clickable nodes, they don't actually work.
> This worked at some point in the far past, when my address was detected and published
as "Rogue.local" as opposed to "Rogue".
