Yes, I checked. Don't let this confuse you:

the "tempdir" is a temporary folder for all the extra files the runner needs (spills, event
files, etc.), forked JVMs get their own subfolder. See the "isolateWorkingDirectories" parameter
here; it's true by default so omitted:

I looked at the common-build.xml file though and I see only this:
            <!-- Temporary directory in the cwd. -->
            <sysproperty key="tempDir" value="."/> 

I was wrong then, the default '' is not overriden here and I think it should.
I wrote a small test asking for a File.createTempFile and it did use a global temp (not good).
