This, like I think some of the others, is stopping - it just has not stopped yet I guess.
In this case, ZooKeeper tries to shutdown this thread simply by setting running to false -
on its next loop it will notice and bail. ZooKeeper doesn't wait to make sure that has happened
before returning from shutdown though.
