Subject [jira] [Updated] (SOLR-2592) Pluggable shard lookup mechanism for SolrCloud
Date Thu, 07 Jun 2012 00:21:23 GMT

Michael Garski updated SOLR-2592:

    Attachment: dbq_fix.patch

Here is an updated patch that fixes an issue where a delete by query is silently dropped.
I have not yet added any additional unit tests for this patch, however all existing unit test
pass - which may not be that significant as that did not catch the DBQ issue.

> If the data in a cloud can be partitioned on some criteria (say range, hash, attribute
value etc) It will be easy to narrow down the search to a smaller subset of shards and in
effect can achieve more efficient search.
