Subject [jira] [Commented] (LUCENE-3930) nuke jars from source tree and use ivy
Date Thu, 29 Mar 2012 07:55:59 GMT

Robert Muir commented on LUCENE-3930:

Proof of concept patch to show how we can download jetty, patch it, build it and copy the
jars of interest into lib.

Yeah, thats how we should do it. Long term, for developers (like committers) that do this
every day,
we can add a property you can define in your ~/ declaring where a patched
jar already exists
so it doesn't slow us down: but thats an optimization for guys like us.

I'm running into bigger problems with the libs in the solr contrib langid. The langdect jar
is from a revision I cannot find in its googlecode project (due to a switch from svn to git)
and the jsonic jar it depends on isn't available in ivy accessible repos, only version 1.2.8

Ouch, i didn't notice they changed over to git... The git repository they have just doesn't
to any meaningful rev numbers (die git die), but still has the history from svn. We are going
have to do a git checkout i think?
