Interesting. I've been playing with that randomizedrunner of mine in the background an jetty
connection pool threads surely do leak out of tests (and cause their failure), which would
suggest they do inherit their parent thread's thread group.

Can you send me a patch where you tried to enforce a threadgroup for them? I'd like to take
