Subject [jira] [Resolved] (SOLR-189) bad query messes up flare
Date Sun, 13 Nov 2011 10:43:51 GMT

Erik Hatcher resolved SOLR-189.

    Resolution: Won't Fix

sorry for this lingering. closing as WONTFIX as Flare is going to be pulled from Solr's repo.
An alternative is to use the project that Flare evolved into, Blacklight. See

> Antonio Eggberg reports: "I accidentally typed a wrong query i.e. "filedname:" and then
press the search button .. as usual I received a 400 'bad request' no problem. but i couldn't
hit the back button to go back the cookie won't let me :-)

> The issue is that flare puts constraints into session scope and each page view is querying
Solr (with a bogus query in this case). Clearing session is the only way currently to alleviate
this issue, which can be done by visiting /browse/clear
